More Than a Jiu Jitsu Class
Many homeschool families tell us they're looking for community just as much as activities. Our homeschool program is a place where both kids and parents can build lasting friendships.
Throughout the year we'll host special events, community gatherings, and opportunities for families to connect beyond the mats.
When you join our program, you're joining a community.
GOOD TO KNOW
Questions, answered
-
No. Homeschool Jiu-Jitsu classes are built for every level, from complete beginners to kids already training in our other programs.
-
Absolutely! Parents are welcome to stay and watch every class. Many homeschool families enjoy connecting with one another while their children train, making our academy a place where both kids and parents can build lasting friendships.
-
For their free trial class, your child can simply wear comfortable athletic clothing, such as a T-shirt and shorts or leggings. If they decide to join, we'll help you get fitted for an official Ricardo Almeida Academy uniform (Gi).
-
Absolutely! We love seeing siblings train together. Depending on their ages and experience, siblings may train in the same class or be grouped with students at a similar developmental level to ensure the best learning experience for everyone. Training together is a wonderful way for siblings to build confidence, encourage one another, and share the journey of learning and growing together.
We also offer family discounts to make it easier for the whole family to train. Our team will be happy to walk you through the options and help you find the membership that best fits your family's needs.
-
Yes! Our memberships include unlimited classes, so your child isn't limited to homeschool classes only. In addition to our morning homeschool program, students are welcome to attend our afternoon and weekend classes based on their age and experience.
Many families enjoy the flexibility of training multiple times per week, allowing students to build confidence, develop their skills faster, and become part of our academy community. While classes are unlimited, we recommend attending at least two classes per week for the best progress.
-
Yes, RABJJ is an approved Step Up For Students provider, and scholarship funds can go toward tuition for eligible families.
