We always say:'Yoga is Jiu Jitsu that you do to yourself’…a lot like Jiu Jitsu, yoga will help you build many of the attributes required to become proficient in the craft.
Yoga is a great complement to BJJ because you are not dealing with the urgency of having an opponent trying to choke you or pass your guard.
During our yoga classes you will noticed improvement in strength, agility, endurance, speed and balance.
Muscle endurance, more efficient breathing and a level of mindfulness that perhaps is just not possible as you are ‘competing’ with your opponent on the mats for position and submissions.
