7 Reasons Every Child Should do Jiu Jitsu

1.No Punching or Kicking: Jiu Jitsu is 100% safe! Unlike other martial arts which teach dangerous punches and kicks, our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program utilizes takedowns, pins, and holds which are only used as the last option against a physically assaultive bully, thus promoting non-violence through respect, discipline, and compassion.
Jiu Jitsu is very popular with Law Enforcement agencies because it gives the practitioner the ability to subdue an attacker without inflicting damage. This makes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu incredibly useful for self-defense even with today’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ school policies.
2.Bully Prevention and Real Self-Defense: Boys and girls can learn fun and exciting self- defense in a safe family environment while also learning to effectively counteract the influence of bullies and troublemakers at school. We use special techniques that teach children how to react during situations of bullying. The goal is to provide children with positive alternatives and appro
aches when experiencing bullying. Your child will be able to deal with the most intimidating bullies and become strongly immune to peer pressure.
3. Character Development, Goal Setting and Achieving: Jiu Jitsu teaches them how to use their talents and develop the confidence in order to succeed at school and sports. Our classes contain elements of structure, such as consistency and ritual. Learning more self-control, focus and greater organizational skills leads to better grades and improved behavior
4. Weight Control & Athletic Development: Every Jiu Jitsu class gives your child an incredible workout designed to develop fitness, coordination, strength, and balance.
5.The Never-Ending Season: No one sits on the bench: Many team sports are seasonal. Jiu Jitsu is a year-round activity allowing children to progress at a much quicker pace. All kids get equal “playing time”. The consistency and availabilit
y help children develop their skills and abilities blooming their natural talents.
6.Family Fun Atmosphere; Healthy Lifestyle: Classes at RABJJ are taught in a pleasant positive and healthy environment. We have many families that come to class together and either take class simultaneously or watch each other’s sessions. You can find husbands and wives training together. Fathers and daughters. Brothers and sisters.
7. Belts & Rankings: Public recognition among peers for the student’s effort and progress. Jiu Jitsu ranking system helps teach children to set goals and achieve them, to persevere and prioritize.
